Insurance pensions indexation in 2022 is named

The indexation of insurance pensions in 2022 will be 5.9 percent, RIA Novosti reports regarding the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Russia Anton Kotyakov.

As the minister explained, the indexation of the insurance old-age pension for non-working pensioners is carried out at a level higher than the annual inflation.

“According to the Ministry of Economic Development forecasts, the annual inflation will be 5.8 percent. Taking this into account, the indexation planned in 2022 remains within the parameters of the three-year budget - at the level of 5.9 percent,” Anton Kotyakov said.

He clarified that the average annual old-age pension of a non-working pensioner will be 18,521 rubles in 2022, 19,477 rubles in 2023, and 20,469 rubles in 2024.

The indexation of old-age insurance pensions is carried out annually on January 1. The average size of old-age insurance pensions in 2021 is 16,789 rubles; this year, they were indexed by 6.3 percent.

Earlier, the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia worsened the forecast for inflation in the country. Annual inflation in 2021 is expected to be 5.8 percent.
