Industrial production in Bashkiria grew by 12%, but raw materials sector showed no recovering

According to the results of July, industrial production in Bashkiria increased by 12.2% compared to July 2020, the Bashkortostan Statistics Agency reports. Overall growth in January - July amounted to 3.5% compared to the seven months of last year.
In the Russian Federation, the growth in July was 6.8%, over seven months - 4.4%.
In July, the sphere of water supply, sewerage, elimination of pollution, collection, and disposal of waste significantly increased production - 31.2% and processing and energy - 7.2%. The production of paper, medicines, furniture, leather, wood processing is growing, the chemical industry and mechanical engineering are increasing.
In the raw materials sector, output volumes increased in July by 7.3% versus July 2020. Still, since the beginning of the year, the negative trend persists - 79% versus January-July 2020, including crude oil and natural gas production - 73.2%, other valuable minerals - 89.5%, provision of services in the field of mining - 78.7%.
Compared to January-July 2020, there was a decrease in the production of computers, electronic and optical products (by 32.2%), electrical equipment (by 25.7%), food products (by 2.6%), coke and petroleum products (by 1.3%).
