Radiy Khabirov spoke about Bashkortostan export potential

The Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, said that the republic had a large export potential, which had not yet been fully unlocked for foreign business.

"It is absolutely certain that Bashkortostan has untapped potential for foreign business. Unfortunately, many of our plans, like those of the whole country, the whole world, were stopped by the coronavirus infection. We were walking at a quick pace and suddenly stopped. We are unleashed for Europe and Southeast Asia, for our neighbors from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and other CIS countries," he told reporters after meeting with the head of state Vladimir Putin.

Radiy Khabirov spoke about plans to visit Kazakhstan in autumn to agree on cooperation with a potential partner.

"Kazakhstan is a strong potential partner. We haven't fully developed our cooperation with Turkey either. Yes, our tourists go on vacation there, buy beautiful things. However, we have serious intentions in terms of industrial potential, which needs to be developed," Radiy Khabirov said.

According to him, the investment portfolio of the republic totals about 1.4 thousand projects in the field of industry and agriculture.

"It is about 900 billion rubles in money terms. This is without considering the large project "Gazprom neftekhim Salavat", where we are talking about entirely different sums", the Head of the Region stated.
