More than 720 thousand tons of grain are harvested in Bashkiria - Ministry of Agriculture

The Ministry of Agriculture reports that the gross harvest of grain and leguminous crops amounted to 721 thousand tons in Bashkiria. The department tentatively predicts the final grain harvest of about 2 million tons in connection with the drought and a decrease in yields.

At the moment, the agrarians have harvested 27% of all areas or 468 thousand hectares. The average yield in the republic is 16 centners per hectare.

Leadership is held by the Aurgazinsky district, where grain growers have harvested 51.7 thousand tons of grain. The Chekmagushevsky district reached the 50 thousandth milestone in gross harvesting, which farms have harvested 50.8 thousand tons of grain. The grain growers of Sterlitamaksky district are close to this mark - 49.7 thousand tons.

The farms of the Chekmagushevsky district show the highest yield of winter crops; here 28.7 centners of winter grain are harvested from each hectare. The best productivity of spring crops in the Aurgazinsky district is 24.8 c/ha.
