Radiy Khabirov told about Ufa airport reconstruction

The Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, spoke about plans for reconstructing the Ufa international airport. According to him, in the next two years, it is planned to combine the three terminals into a single architectural concept and update the central sector of the airport square. He posted about this on his social media.

"The total area of ​​the terminal has more than doubled - up to 29 thousand square meters, and the throughput - from 600 to 1200 people per hour. The building has everything that determines the comfort level of modern passengers - boarding ramps, baggage handling complexes, information systems. The main thing is the comfort and safety of passengers," the head of the region said.

He also added that the Ufa airport is becoming one of the most modern and comfortable in Russia. In terms of service quality, it was already reaching the international level.

"We have increased domestic Russian flights, we have opened new routes to the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union. The republic is gradually moving to pre-crisis positions. Moreover, in some areas, it already surpasses them. Recently, the Ufa International Airport was the first among the air harbors of the Volga Federal District to welcome the two millionth passenger. We reached this level a week earlier than in the pre-coronavirus year 2019," Radiy Khabirov said.
