Plastic processing complex will be built for half billion rubles in Bashkiria

A plastic processing complex will be built for almost half a billion rubles in Bashkiria, the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development and Investment Policy of the region reported.

A new resident of the Blagoveshchensk PDA - the "BioFlex" enterprise, intends to implement a large investment project in the region.

The company plans to implement an investment project to create a complex for the processing of recycled PET bottles and the production of flex - pieces of plastic of fine fraction, a product of plastic shredding during processing, suitable for use in food packaging.

It is planned to allocate more than 470 million rubles for the implementation of the project.

As Rustam Muratov, Minister of Economic Development and Investment Policy of the region, emphasized, the status of a PDA resident guarantees the investor support from the state in the form of tax benefits and "will create comfortable and effective conditions for doing business."

The large-scale project is planned to be implemented during 2021-2028.

"The creation of a production facility with a processing capacity of up to 13,000 tons of recycled PET bottles per year will not only improve the environment but will also create more than 60 new jobs," Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investment Policy of Bashkiria Yekaterina Klikunova added.

The Priority Development Area (PDA) was established in the monocity of Blagoveshchensk in February 2019.

There are six monocities in Bashkiria: Belebey, Kumertau, Neftekamsk, Beloretsk, Blagoveshchensk and Uchaly. More than 400 thousand people, or about 10 percent of the republic's total population, lived in them as of January 1, 2021.

To ensure the balanced development of these single-industry towns, five territories of advanced socio-economic development function within their borders: Belebey, Kumertau, Blagoveshchensk, Neftekamsk, and Beloretsk.
