Almost every aircraft at MAKS-2021 airshow has components from Bashkiria - Khabirov

On July 21, the Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, examined the promising developments of the United Engine Corporation JSC (part of the Rostec State Corporation) at the International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2021. Among them is an exhibition sample of the VK-650V engine, the components for which are produced by the Ufa PJSC "UEC-UMPO".

The promising engine is designed for operation in the Russian light helicopters Ka-226T, Ansat, VRT500, and foreign helicopters of the same payload class. It is created in broad industry cooperation. Thus, FSUE "VIAM" has manufactured additive blanks for turbine nozzles, transition channels, and other assemblies. Enterprises of the United Engine Corporation, including UEC-UMPO, made parts and assemblies from VIAM blanks. Now Ufa engine builders are introducing welding and brazing technologies for these blanks to master the full production of engine parts in the future.

The promising PD-8 gas turbine aircraft engine was among other developments.

"We are implementing all new projects, making extensive use of the capabilities of our corporation's enterprises," Alexander Artyukhov, General Director of UEC JSC, said. "So, "UEC-UMPO" is 30-40 percent involved in completing the latest developments, including for the most massive civil aviation engines."

The Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, also visited the stand of JSC Technodinamika (part of the State Corporation Rostec). The holding includes three republican enterprises: Ufa Aggregate Production Association, UAE Gidravlika, and Ufa NPP Molniya. The Head of the Region discussed with the leadership of Technodinamika the prospects for diversifying production and increasing production for the aerospace industry.

"The aircraft industry in Bashkortostan is not only UEC-UMPO and KumAPP. The State Corporation Rostec includes eight republican enterprises. Therefore, almost every aircraft presented at the MAKS-2021 air show has a part or assembly made in our region, '' Radiy Khabirov said. "We are very proud of it".
