Passenger traffic on Kuibyshev railway increased by 45% in June

In June 2021, more than 1.5 million passengers were transported on the Kuibyshev railway passing through the territory of Bashkiria. The growth was 49% compared to the same indicator last year (513 thousand people), of which in suburban traffic - more than 1.1 million passengers (an increase of 30%), in long-distance travel - 417 thousand (an increase of 2.5 times).

Passenger turnover amounted to 496 million pass-km in June 2021, more than 2.4 times higher than the same period in 2020 (294 million pass-km). Including the suburban traffic, which increased by 46%, amounting to 48.1 million pass-km (in 2020 - 32.9 million pass-km), and long-distance travel - 448 million pass-km, with more than 2.6 times growth to the last year (168.8 million pass-km).

In total, in January-June 2021, 7.3 million passengers were transported (an increase of 18.1%), of which 1.8 million people (+ 30.3%) were on long-distance travel, 5.5 million were used suburban traffic ( + 14.5%).

Passenger traffic on the Kuibyshev Railway since the beginning of 2021 has increased by 25.3% compared to last year and amounted to 1.9 billion pass-km, including 229.5 million pass-km in suburban traffic (+ 19.9%), 1.7 billion pass-km (+ 26.1%) in long-distance travel.
