Radiy Khabirov named objects to be built by Ufa 450th anniversary

At the meeting with representatives of the media community of Bashkiria, the Head of the Republic, Radiy Khabirov, commented on the preparation of Ufa for its 450th anniversary.

Large-scale plans for the construction of major facilities were announced - these are theaters and museums, sports facilities, the reconstruction of Oktyabrskoi Revolutsii Street, new bridges and roads.

According to Radiy Khabirov, not all facilities will be ready by 2024. Thus, the reconstruction of Oktyabrskoi Revolutsii Street involves the resettlement of 80 houses.

However, most of the facilities are expected to be completed by the anniversary.

These are, firstly, large sports facilities: the Volleyball Center and the Wrestling Center. It is also highly likely that the Museum of Contemporary Art will be commissioned by the anniversary date. It is being built by the philanthropist Marat Akhmetshin. The museum will be located on the southern slope next to the House of the Republic. The Eurasian Library is to be constructed in the same area. By 2024, all work on the reconstruction of the Ufa airport should be completed.

"We will also accomplish many streets, facades, we will make architectural illumination of houses," the Head of the Republic promised.

Among the medical facilities that will be completed by 2024 are the Children's Oncology Center and the Cardiac Center. It is also planned to reconstruct the puppet theater, circus, Russian Drama Theater, which will require 3 billion rubles.

In total, about twenty new facilities should appear in Ufa by 2024.
