Labor force number decreased to 1.919 million people in Bashkiria

The number of the labor force aged 15 and over in February - April of this year decreased in Bashkiria to 1.919 million people. Of these, more than 1.825 million people were employed in the economy. About 94 thousand were classified as unemployed, Bashkortostan Statistics Agency reports, based on a sample labor force survey.

The general unemployment rate in February - April 2021 was 4.9% in Bashkiria.

For comparison: in January - March 2021, the labor force in the republic exceeded 1.932 million people.

In Russia as a whole, the number of labor force exceeded 75 million people in February - April this year, in the Volga Federal District - 14.7 million people.
