Bashkiria ranks 6th in Russia in terms of agricultural production

Last year, more than 8 billion 524 million rubles were allocated to support the agro-industrial complex of the republic, of which 4.9 billion rubles from the federal budget, 3.7 billion rubles from the budget of the Republic of Bashkortostan. Rural territories received 1.8 billion rubles for their integrated development. These figures were announced at a State Assembly meeting today by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Agriculture of Bashkortostan Ilshat Fazrakhmanov.
According to him, the agro-industrial complex for several years has shown the best results of the last twenty years.
“We were able to change the structure of gross output and make our production marketable. If in 2010 the main share of gross agricultural output was formed by personal subsidiary plots, then by the end of 2020 the share of agricultural enterprises and peasant farms amounted to 57%, ”the Minister of Agriculture stated. The index of agricultural production was 103.1% (against the plan of 100.8%).
In terms of agricultural production, Bashkortostan in the Russian Federation has risen to 6th place (in 2019 - 7th place); it occupies a stable 2nd place after Tatarstan in the Volga Federal District. The farmers of the republic have harvested a good harvest of grain crops - 4 million tons of grain, which is more than 600 thousand tons more than in 2019.
Bashkiria hit the Top 10 regions (7th place) producing greenhouse vegetables in Russia. At the end of 2020, the production of greenhouse vegetables in the commodity sector increased by 1.3% and amounted to 69.4 thousand tons.
The Deputy Prime Minister noted that the agrarians set themselves ambitious goals for this year as well. However, the prevailing weather conditions have already hurt the agricultural sector of Bashkiria.
“Now we are actively working with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and the republic’s budget on allocating at least 6 billion rubles to close debts in 2021 and, in general, to support farmers,” Ilshat Fazrakhmanov said.
