Bashkiria entrepreneurs will receive subsidies for domestic tourism development

Entrepreneurs and legal entities in Bashkiria will receive subsidies for the development of domestic and inbound tourism. The corresponding procedure for obtaining such subsidies was approved at a meeting of the republican government.

As the Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkiria Andrei Nazarov emphasized, the coronavirus pandemic has significantly affected the reorientation of tourists to the domestic market.

“Therefore, to stimulate the growth of inbound and domestic tourist flows to the republic, specific new measures of state support for tourist business are needed,” Nazarov said.

The project, developed by the State Committee for Tourism of Bashkiria, plans to subsidize several areas. Among them, there is the development of new tourist routes, the development of fishing and hunting tourism, the improvement and development of accommodation facilities, and the development of agro-, eco-, rural tourism, and the classification of collective accommodation facilities.

“The subsidy for one legal entity or entrepreneur will be no more than five million rubles, subject to co-financing in the amount of at least 50 percent,” Elmira Tukanova, head of the State Committee for Tourism RB, explained.
