Food producers will receive support for 350 million rubles in Bashkiria

The food production index in Bashkiria was 104.5% in 2020. Compared to 2019, meat production increased by 3.1%, by-products - by 58.1%, semi-finished products - by 26.9%, vegetable oil - by 7.7%, cheeses - by 14.6%. In total, there are more than 1 thousand food production facilities in the republic. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture Ilshat Fazrakhmanov announced this at the "Rural Hour" session. He recalled that the Ministry of Agriculture was developing a Concept for the Food and Processing Industry Development of the republic until 2026. After that, similar programs will be adopted in every municipality. This will make it possible to double the volume of food production - up to 200 billion rubles.
According to the regional Minister of Agriculture, agrarians and processors in Bashkortostan enjoy state support measures. For example, these are grants from 3 to 14 million rubles on the consumer cooperatives development. In addition, manufacturers are reimbursed part of the cost of purchasing raw materials for the production of soft drinks and juices and the purchase of machinery and equipment.
The Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, said that it had been decided to support the food industry with subsidies of 350 million rubles until 2026.
“We will allocate 350 million rubles to support agricultural processing, of which this year - 50 million rubles, in 2022 - 150 million rubles, and then until 2026 - another 30 million rubles annually. This will allow doubling the volume of products in retail chains, improving the assortment, and saturating the republican market with local goods. At the same time, we will send finished and packaged product outside Bashkortostan and not raw materials, so that the profit remains with our farmers."
The Head of the Republic instructed to organize a plenary discussion on the support of the food and processing industry at the upcoming All-Russian Investment Sabantuy "Trans-Urals" (scheduled for this June) and to start distributing subsidies since September 1.
