Only 10 percent of local products are available on shelves of Bashkiria’s shops

Our food markets should be modern so that it would be pleasant to go shopping there without unpleasant odors and dirt, Radiy Khabirov said today at the visiting “Rural Hour” session.

According to the Minister of Trade and Services of Bashkortostan, Aleksey Gusev, in the first four months of 2021, the volume of trade increased by 9.8 percent, which in the absolute mass of commodities amounted to 298.3 billion rubles. At the same time, the level of local products in the total mass of goods does not exceed 10 percent, and in the segment of socially significant goods - about 70 percent.

“For comprehensive assistance to the republican producers in bringing their products to the shelves of retail chains, we are implementing the “Product of Bashkortostan” project. It unites 537 participants, of which 75 work with federal retail chains, and 93 supply products to neighboring regions,” Alexey Gusev said.

The creation of an agro-industrial cluster in Bashkortostan will make it possible to replace with its own products, domestic consumption in the field of social nutrition, in educational and medical organizations.
