Ufa chemists have created environmentally friendly reagents for oil and gas industry

Scientists of the Ufa Institute of Chemistry of the Ufa Federal Research Center RAS (part of the Eurasian REC), as part of the “Science” national project, have created a line of environmentally friendly reagents for the oil and gas industry. Their application will significantly reduce the negative impact on nature. Biodegradable products are designed to develop and operate oil and gas fields in the Far North and the Arctic zone. The reagents obtained have already passed pilot tests and are recommended for use in the production and transportation of gas and oil.

Alsu Fakhreeva, Farid Ishmuratov, Emil Ishmiyarov, Alexander Badamshin became laureates of the International competition of scientific, technical, and innovative developments in fuel, energy, and mining industry in 2021, held by the Ministry of Energy of Russia. The laureates will be awarded at the tenth anniversary St. Petersburg International Gas Forum at the Expoforum from October 5 to 8, 2021.

In total, 196 works from 88 organizations related to the oil and gas industry, coal and peat industries, electric power engineering, renewable energy, pipeline transport, nuclear energy, and mining were submitted for the competition, the Ufa Federal Research Center RAS ​​reported.
