27.5 billion rubles to be invested in Ufa tram network modernization

At the federal level, Bashkiria signed the first investment protection and promotion agreement (IPPA) - a project to modernize the tram network of Ufa. The volume of planned investments is 27.5 billion rubles, the First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economic Development and Investment Policy of Bashkiria Rustam Muratov said at a briefing session in the government on Monday.
In addition, the agreement provides for reimbursement of infrastructure costs. In particular, the costs of transport, energy, utilities, social and digital infrastructures. At the same time, it was determined that the volume of reimbursable costs is up to 50% for the supporting infrastructure facilities, up to 100% for the accompanying infrastructure.
“Currently, three investment projects are in the development stage, under which the conclusion of a federal IPPA is possible. The total volume of projects under consideration is 17.5 billion rubles, ” Rustam Muratov added.
As Bashinform News Agency previously reported, on June 3, at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, an agreement on cooperation was signed between the government of the republic and the State Development Corporation VEB.RF. The agreement will help Bashkiria to modernize the passenger transportation network in Ufa.
VEB.RF will take part in the creation of a single public transport operator for the Ufa agglomeration. The result will be route network optimization and the comprehensive development of passenger traffic.
