Ufa hit top 10 cities of Russia with largest contribution to country's GDP

KB Strelka specialists have compiled a rating of Russian cities that have made the most considerable contribution to the country's GDP. At the end of 2018, the capital of Bashkiria hit the Top 10 cities. The gross urban product of Ufa amounted to 847 billion rubles, the report says.

Moscow took the leading positions in the rating, contributing 19 trillion rubles to the Russian economy. This is followed by St. Petersburg (5.9 trillion rubles), and Surgut closes the top three - 1.08 trillion rubles. (one%).

The study authors concluded that 78% of Russian GDP (RUB 81.6 trillion) was formed in cities in 2018.
