Bashkiria will develop program to support folk crafts manufacturers

The Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, instructed the Government of the republic to develop a program to support folk crafts manufacturers. This was discussed at a weekly briefing session, which participants reviewed the results of the work of the region's industry for four months in 2021.

According to the Minister of Industry and Innovation Policy RB, Alexander Sheldyaev, in January-April 2021, the industrial production index reached 102.1%, exceeding the average Russian level (101.1%). The greatest growth was demonstrated by such areas as wood processing (160.6%), printing activity (155.2%), production of motor vehicles (154.1%).

The Head of Bashkortostan noted the effective work of the industrial block of the Government RB, which allowed the industry to develop at a good pace.

"Our economy is gradually starting to reach the pre-coronavirus level. I can say that the Ministry of Industry of Bashkortostan has become a real partner and ally of the republic's industrialists," Radiy Khabirov stressed. "I would like to thank the staff of our Industry Development Fund for the fruitful work. Shortly, we will discuss the possibilities of its additional capitalization".

The Head of the Region said that the Forest Forum would be held in Bashkortostan in August 2021. As part of the formation of its agenda, it is important to analyze the topical issues of the timber processing cluster development.

Radiy Khabirov also instructed the Government to start elaborating a program to support the traditional direction for the republic - folk crafts.
