Industrial production index increased by 7.5 percent in Bashkiria

In April this year, the industrial production index in Bashkiria amounted to 107.5% by April 2020. Total, for the first four months of this year, this figure was at the level of 102.1%, the Bashkortostan Statistics Agency informed.

According to statistics, over the four months of this year, a positive trend was observed in manufacturing, the energy sector of the economy, as well as in the field of water supply, sewerage, elimination of pollution, collection, and disposal of waste.

Moreover, on the contrary, the raw materials sector of the republic showed a decrease of 26.9% compared to January-April last year. At the same time, the extraction of crude oil and natural gas decreased by 39.1%, and other minerals - by 15.9%.

In general, in the Russian Federation, the industrial production index (IPP) for the first four months of this year amounted to 101.1%.

In the regions of the Volga Federal District, the IPP varied from 97.4% in Udmurtia to 122.6% in the Penza region, the Bashkortostan Statistics Agency concluded.
