Bashkiria took 9th place among Russian regions with least pressure on business: Radiy Khabirov

It is the first major forum in Russia after the most challenging year for the industry, the Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov stated at the Russian Oil and Gas forum's plenary session.

In general, the republic's industry is recovering its indicators. According to Radiy Khabirov, the industrial production index for four months in Bashkortostan amounted to 102.6 percent. Oil refining has returned to the previous level; oil production is being restored. The manufacturing industry showed 106 percent.

"Yesterday, the Commissioner for the Rights of Entrepreneurs under the President of Russia, Boris Titov, presented his annual report to the head of state, in which the "Index of Administrative Pressure - 2021" was given. Bashkortostan ranked 9th among the regions with the least pressure on business, while in 2018, the republic was in 38th place in this rating. Although we still need to improve in this direction," Radiy Khabirov said.

One of the main tasks in the industry, according to Radiy Khabirov, is the development of deep processing; Gazprom neftekhim Salavat is making good progress in this direction. The Head of Region expressed gratitude to the leadership of Gazprom for the agreement signed between the republic and the gas company, which would allow gasification of 164 settlements in the coming years.

Particular attention will be paid to the fulfillment of the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin to bring gas to households free of charge.

According to Radiy Khabirov, the republic also has the potential to switch transport to gas motor fuel. Last year, seven gas filling stations were built in the republic, and another ten will be commissioned this year.

Another challenge is to attract investment. The Alga special economic zone played a huge role in its solution. Its entire territory of 400 hectares is almost filled with investment projects.

Within the framework of the Oil and Gas Forum, 34 business events will also be held on the development of oil and gas engineering, measures of state support for the industry, research of oil and gas wells, sustainable development of the oil and gas complex, development of the gas engine fuel market and others.
