State spa resorts of Bashkiria increased their profitability by 11 - 20% in 2020. The growth in revenue amounted to 20-50%, the growth in net profit - 2.5-5 times, the Ministry of Land and Property reported. These results have been achieved due to government support.

In the context of the restrictions in the pandemic, the health resort sector initially found itself in a challenging situation - institutions incurred serious losses without clients. The situation improved after the state sanatoriums became observation hotels, where people from other regions and countries were placed in quarantine at public expense. Also, health care workers were placed in quarantine and rehabilitation in republican spa resorts.

There are 19 spa resorts in the region belonging to the republic.
