Alga SEZ resident opens solar panels production in Bashkiria

Three enterprises are ready to become residents of the Alga special economic zone. The companies SVEM, Optimum Solar Rus, and P Solaris defended their business plans and were assessed by the expert council.

The SVEM company presented a project for the production of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene. Gazprom neftekhim Salavat will supply the raw material. The volume of capital investments will exceed 6 billion rubles. About 100 jobs will be created. Production facilities are supposed to be put into operation in 2024.

Optimum Solar Rus plans to build a plant for solar panel production. "The potential expansion capacity of this market is high. Areas located in the south and southeast of the country are especially promising. The Hungarian founders of the company have been involved in solar energy for over 20 years. They have already installed about 187 thousand solar panels, which annually generate 62 GW of clean energy, the government's press service informs. Investments in this project will exceed 1.5 billion rubles, about 70 jobs will be created. Production will start at the end of 2022.

P Solaris organizes the production of swivel pads for solar panels. The investor plans to invest 860 million rubles in the project and create 50 jobs. The launch of this production is scheduled for next year.

"By the end of 2021, we should have eight residents. As a result of today's meeting of the Expert Council, we are exceeding this level," Ilshat Tazhitdinov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government - Chief of Staff of the Government RB said. "We continue to work systematically and intensively to attract new residents. I would also like to note that the projects of the six operating residents of the Alga special economic zone are being implemented as usual. The "Arkada" and "ZUR" companies are erecting production buildings; the rest are carrying out design and survey work and will soon enter the construction phase. Our primary task is to provide them with engineering, transport, energy, and other necessary infrastructure by the time they start production."
