Bashneft replenished oil reserves by 330%

Bashkiria oil industry increased oil reserves in the amount of about 43 million tons of AB1C1 category in 2020.
More than threefold growth was achieved due to geological exploration, new acquisitions, and revaluation of reserves of operating fields.
In 2020, specialists from Bashneft (part of Rosneft) discovered 53 new productive deposits in the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District - Yugra, as well as a new Bakalinskoye field.
Also, in 2020, Bashneft received licenses for the development of four fields: Gerasimovskoye and Mishidinskoye in Bashkiria, Mytayakhinskoye, and Shishkyuganskoye in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District. Three fields in Bashkortostan received addenda to licenses on boundaries expansion to obtain the right to develop reserves.
In addition, a revaluation of reserves was carried out at the Tuimazinskoye, Chetyrmanskoye, Kuzbaevskoye, and other fields.
As explained by the company, the systematic work of Bashneft to increase the resource base is carried out within the framework of the Rosneft-2022 strategy. The program is aimed at 100% replenishment of liquid hydrocarbon production by increasing reserves.
