UMPO to expand gas turbine engines production for Gazprom in Ufa

Today, the Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, met with Oleg Aksyutin, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board - Head of Department of PJSC Gazprom. The parties discussed the strengthening of the company's interaction with the region, as well as the prospects for expanding the use of the AL-31ST engine manufactured by UEC-UMPO (part of the United Engine Corporation of Rostec) at Gazprom's facilities.

“Gazprom is one of our most reliable partners. We signed the Program for the Development of Gas Supply and Gasification of the Republic for 2021–2025. Together with the company, we are implementing many important projects in the field of gas motor fuel, oil and gas chemistry,” Radiy Khabirov said.

The Head of Bashkortostan noted that today a joint meeting of Gazprom and Rostec would take place in Ufa on cooperation in the production program for the supply and repair of gas turbine engines produced by the United Engine Corporation.

According to Oleg Aksyutin, the modernization and reliability improvement of the AL-31ST engine manufactured by PJSC UEC-UMPO has made it possible to expand the geography of its use at Gazprom's facilities, including at compressor stations of the “Sila Sibiri” gas pipeline. Reconstruction of compressor stations of Gazprom Transgaz Ufa continues with the use of the Ufa drive. The experience gained and the accumulated competencies made it possible to start creating a new AL-41ST-25 engine with a capacity of 25 MW with the prospect of expanding the range of units to 42 MW.

At the end of the meeting, Radiy Khabirov awarded Oleg Aksyutin the Order of Salavat Yulaev for his contribution to the development of Bashkortostan.
