Today the Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov visited the educational and production laboratories of Bashkir State Agrarian University. This year, the Center for Advanced Embryology and Genotyping Technologies was launched for the serial production of embryos (including by the clone selection method) of elite breeds of dairy cattle at the university. The Tavros group of companies purchased all the equipment for the center.
Rinat Zainullin, General Director of Bashkir Meat Company LLC (Tavros Group of Companies), said that this center was the largest in Russia. The planned capacity is 40,000 embryos per year with the release of their implementation in the domestic and foreign markets, while the similar center of the Miratorg company has a capacity of 15,000 embryos.
The center's products will be in great demand among large complexes that are engaged in dairy farming. The center will also serve as a training base for students of the agricultural university. The center plans not only to form a genetic bank of cells and embryos of high-value animals according to their breeding qualities but also digital services, which will be the most effective in engineering new breeds of animals with given qualities of productivity.
The Center for Advanced Embryology and Genotyping Technologies will become an integral part of the world-class Eurasian REC. It will also help reduce the level of import dependence of the livestock industry.
The Head of Bashkortostan also examined the training and production workshop to produce meat products and the training and production laboratory for assessing the quality of dairy raw materials and products. The students showed Radiy Khabirov how they assess the quality of dairy raw materials for compliance with standards' requirements (determination of the cheese suitability of milk, protein, fat, acidity, density, purity, number of somatic cells).
In the cooking laboratory, there is training in cooking dishes of various cuisines of the world and Russia's peoples, the development of recipes. It is organized according to World Skils standards - 5 chefs and one barista job. In the laboratories for technical operation and testing of tractors and machines, almost all samples of agricultural machinery that are currently operating in the fields of the republic are collected.
Scientists of the Bashkir Agrarian University conduct research and are actively engaged in scientific research to preserve the Burzyan bee. The university plans to reconstruct the greenhouse and build a new greenhouse by the Apimondia International Congress, which is to be held in Bashkortostan in 2022.
Bashkir Agricultural University also has its own Botanical Garden. Subtropical plants grow here, with more than 120 species in total. Reproduction of the most common species in interior gardening, development of vegetative propagation methods, and technologies of clonal micropropagation of economically valuable plants are underway.
The Head of Bashkortostan also held a session of the visiting "Rural Hour" dedicated to training personnel for the agro-industrial complex of the republic.
