Tourism specialists worked out industry development initiatives in Ufa

Ufa hosted the second strategic session on forming the Strategy to develop tourism in Bashkiria until 2035. According to the State Committee for Tourism, the brainstorming session participants worked out ways to implement the ideas and initiatives proposed by the business community at the first session.

The second strategy session was attended by representatives of government bodies, municipalities, public and non-profit organizations, the Center for Strategic Research RB, research organizations, the Commission on Entrepreneurship of the World Kurultay of Bashkirs.

The moderators were Sergey Lokhanov, Program Director of the Higher School of Economics, and Valery Medovy, expert of the Center for Regional Development of the Higher School of Economics, RANEPA.

"Today, it is important to replace the limited outbound tourism with internal projects, to create the appropriate infrastructure, country hotels, campings, glamping sites, and various tourist routes. The region pays great attention to tourism development - the necessary support measures are being developed, the regulatory framework is being improved. Our republic has all the possibilities to become a popular destination for tourists," commented the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investment Policy of the Republic of Bashkortostan Yekaterina Klikunova.

The third strategy session will be devoted to the follow-up results; it is assumed that the previous stages' most active participants will take part in it.

This work will result in the collection and systematization of the necessary analytics, a map of events, and the Strategy scenario. According to the State Committee, the approval and implementation of the document will make it possible to create high-quality, competitive tourism products.
