Food production increased by 4.5% in Bashkiria in 2020

The food production index in Bashkiria in 2020 amounted to 104.5% compared to 2019. Products were shipped for 82.5 billion rubles - 116.9% by 2019. In January-February of this year, products were shipped for 14.7 billion rubles (115% by January-February 2020). The data were announced at a meeting in the government of the republic.
The production of poultry meat increased 2.4 times, by-products, beef and pork - 1.6 times - by 3%; semi-finished products - by 27%, vegetable oil - by 18.2%, rapeseed oil - by 43.4%, cheeses - by 14.6%, ice cream - by 6.9%, animal feed - by 13.5%.
A significant increase in the production of poultry meat became possible due to the launch of “Ural” Poultry Complex, the Ministry of Agriculture of Bashkiria commented. It stopped working in October 2017 due to a difficult financial situation and in the absence of agreements between the owners. In 2019, the right to production assets lease was transferred to the Moscow LLC “Ural” Poultry Complex. In November 2019, the first batch of hatching eggs was delivered to the facility. In 2020, the company reached full capacity: the number of turkeys reached 850 thousand heads, and more than 25 thousand tons of meat were produced at the enterprise during the year.
