Trans-Ural agglomeration may be created in Bashkiria

The republic is considering the possibility of forming an agglomeration in the Trans-Urals. This was discussed at a meeting on the Trans-Urals development program for 2022-2024.

As the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investment Policy of Bashkiria Yekaterina Klikunova noted, the formation of an agglomeration will give an impetus to infrastructure projects and urban and rural areas development, create conditions for a comfortable life for people living in the Trans-Urals.

"We focus on Russian and global trends in the spatial development of recent years, among which the main ones are the growth of the urban population and the concentration of the economy in agglomeration formations. The formation of agglomerations today remains one of the main directions of the regional territorial development," the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investment Policy RB Ekaterina Klikunova said.

Earlier, Bashinform reported that a new development strategy for the Trans-Urals is being developed in Bashkiria.
