Russian Deputy Minister of Agriculture: Bashkiria is leader in digital accounting of agricultural animals

Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Russia Maxim Uvaydov today, during a working meeting with the Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov, highly appreciated the results on the identification and registration of farm animals in the republic.
Thus, almost 100 percent of cattle and pigs, about 90 percent of horses and small cattle, have already been registered in the unified information automated system.
“We often cite you as an example. The republic is among the leaders in Russia in this area. Not all regions have such a clear system of animal registration. The very approach and attention of the Head of Bashkortostan to this topic give a good result”, Maxim Uvaydov said. “We will use your experience as an advanced one already at the Russian level to form a federal system for farm animals accounting.”
Maxim Uvaydov noted that Bashkortostan managed to prevent the penetration of hazardous animal diseases into its territory.
“We are holding a district meeting in Ufa with representatives of all veterinary services of the Volga Federal District to work out safety issues. It was not by chance that we chose Bashkortostan for our meeting. There is a good experience here that should be shared”, the deputy head of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture said.
The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia pays great attention to the training of highly qualified specialists for the agro-industrial complex.
According to Maxim Uvaydov, the Bashkir State Agrarian University successfully operates in the republic, which graduates are in demand in the industry. The Federal Ministry plans to send additional funding to the university and increase the number of budget places for applicants.
