Andrei Nazarov urged Bashkiria farmers to apply for subsidies through digital platforms

The agro-industrial complex of Bashkortostan should develop using modern technology. Including - applying innovative digital solutions and developing modern small businesses, producing environmentally friendly products, and increasing exports.
"We have achieved certain results in the digitalization of the industry. Today, large agricultural holdings and farms use various digital solutions to optimize the farm's operation and improve the quality of products. Besides, if e-commerce was a difficult area for farmers in the pre-pandemic period, then 2020 became an incentive to go online. Delivery of farm products and online stores has become a trend," Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan Andrei Nazarov said at a plenary session of the Agroindustrial Forum.
Bashkortostan has created the "Republic Management Center", which integrates the information and analytical system of the agro-industrial complex. The key task is to build effective cooperation between representatives of government authorities and the business community.
Bashkortostan is still the leader in beef production, koumiss, in second place - in the production of milk, marketable honey and the number of horses, in third - in the number of cattle. In terms of gross agricultural output, the republic ranks sixth in the Russian Federation with a share of 3.1% and second in the Volga Federal District (13%).
"Due to the growth of agricultural production, the dependence on imports of basic types of food products has decreased, and even in the conditions of closed borders during the pandemic year, we did not observe a shortage of food in the republic. Also, in 2020 we were able to increase the export of agricultural products by US $ 65.1 million, reaching US $ 177 million. This testifies to the growth of food security in the region," Andrei Nazarov stated.
On behalf of Russia's Minister of Agriculture, Dmitry Patrushev, the forum participants were greeted by his first deputy Dzhambulat Khatuov via video communication.
He thanked the agrarians of Bashkortostan for the worthy results of work in the past year and the republic's leadership for the strong support of the industry from the regional budget.
