Bashkiria industrial production index again exceeded average Russian indicators

According to the statistics of the republic, the industrial production index of Bashkiria for the first two months of this year amounted to 99.5% against the national average of 97.2% in January-February 2020.

“In the Volga Federal District regions, this figure varied from 90.5% in Udmurtia to 116.1% in the Saratov Region,” the Bashkortostan Statistics Agency reports.

For two months of 2021, the decline in industrial production in Bashkiria was 0.5% compared to January-February 2020.

“The decline was recorded in the commodity sector by 25.4%. The extraction of crude oil and natural gas decreased by 46.4%, other minerals - by 19.0%, the statistics stressed. “Since the beginning of the year a positive trend was observed in manufacturing - 103.6%, in the energy sector of the economy - 106.0%, as well as in the field of water supply, sewerage, elimination of pollution, collection and disposal of waste - 119.7%.

As the Bashinform News Agency previously reported, the industrial production index in Bashkiria amounted to 98% in general for 2020. In Russia, the average industrial production index was 97.1%.
