Bashkiria took 36th place in regional unemployment ranking

Bashkiria took 36th place in the unemployment ranking of regions at the end of November 2020 - January 2021. This was reported in a study by RIA Novosti.

The unemployment rate in Bashkortostan rose to 5.6%. The change in the unemployment rate is 0.9 compared to the same period in 2019-2020. The average time of job search was 5.9 months in the third quarter of last year in the republic.

“The crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic has a significant impact on the labor market in Russia. The situation began to improve as the restrictions were lifted and the majority of enterprises returned to operating mode,” the RIA Novosti study says.

The unemployment rate in most Russian regions at the end of November 2020 - January 2021 increased and amounted to 5.9% nationwide, which is 1.3 points higher than a year before.

The most favorable situation was in the labor market of the Yamal-Nenets and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Districts. Ingushetia, Chechnya, and Tuva showed the highest unemployment rates, according to the RIA Novosti study.
