Bashkiria hit Top 5 regions in terms of car loans issued

Bashkiria hit the Top 5 regions of the country in the number of car loans issued in 2020. Such data are provided by the "Autostat" analytical agency.

According to the agency, in general, almost 40 thousand car loans were issued in the republic during the year.

The largest number of car loans issued in the regions of Russia over the past year fell on Moscow - more than 67 thousand loans, the Moscow region, and St. Petersburg - 51 thousand each and Tatarstan - about 45 thousand.

However, if we analyze the regional figures, then Bashkiria residents took fewer car loans for new and used cars last year - 39,945, against 42,493 loans in 2019. The fall was 6%. The National Bureau of Credit Histories provides these statistics.

In total, in 2020, the total volume of car loans taken in the republic amounted to 28.3 billion rubles against 28.6 billion rubles in 2019.

This year, it is planned to allocate 16 billion rubles for various programs to support the Russian domestic auto industry. Of these, 8.9 billion rubles will be channeled to soft car loans. Another 3.8 billion rubles are provided for the program of concessional leasing for legal entities and individual entrepreneurs. 3.33 billion rubles will be allocated to stimulate sales of NGV equipment.

Meanwhile, in Russia in the first two months of 2021, more than 42.5 thousand cars were sold on preferential terms. Of this amount, about 35.4 thousand cars were purchased under the soft car lending program, and more than 7.1 thousand cars were purchased under the soft leasing program.
