Bashkiria enterprises forwarded 21 million tons of cargo by rail

In 2020, 119 container trains were forwarded from the stations of Bashkiria by rail. Goods were shipped in the volume of 21 million tons, which amounted to a third of the total loading in 16 regions of the Kuibyshev railway and 225 thousand tons more than in 2019.

Last year, six stations were reopened for cargo and commercial operations, three of which are for container handling. In the near future, such an opportunity will appear at seven more stations of the Kuibyshev railway. As a result, in 2021, the number of container trains may grow by 40%. The information was announced at the board of the Ministry of Industry of Bashkiria.
