Bashkir Belebey and Turkish Eregli outlined new ways of cooperation

In June last year, an agreement was signed online to establish twinning relations between the Belebeysky region of Bashkortostan and Turkey's Eregli region. This was preceded by a visit to the Republic of Bashkortostan in 2019 by a delegation of the KONSIAD Association headed by its President Kemal Celik, which includes over 1000 manufacturers, commercial and other organizations in Istanbul. Then a meeting took place with the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov.

As the former representative of the Republic of Bashkortostan in Turkey (in 2004-2012), vice-president of the Turkish joint-stock company "Neslishah" Kanshaubiy Miziev, told Bashinform, the other day he had a conversation with Kemal Celik.

"Unfortunately, after we visited Bashkortostan and met with the Head of the Republic Radiy Khabirov, our closer cooperation was prevented by the COVID-19 pandemic, but, nevertheless, we have held meetings with many companies and organizations from Bashkortostan, and now we are going to present to the leadership of the republic our new proposals for commercial and investment cooperation," Kemal Celik said.

Kanshaubiy Miziev also said that he had met with the head of the city and adjacent rural settlements of Konya-Eregli Hüseyin Oprukçu and his team and talked about the cooperation possibilities between the two regions of Bashkortostan and Turkey. According to Miziev, Huseyin Oprukchu first decided to send a truck with vegetables and fruits from Eregli to Belebey. Hüseyin Oprukçu believes that we can have good connections both in light industry and agriculture. Considering the rich history of the region and the abundance of attractions in the vicinity of Eregli, it is possible to cooperate in the field of tourism, and in both directions, because many people would like to see and get acquainted with the history and inhabitants of Bashkortostan. Also, thermal springs were opened in Eregli, on which they would like to build a sanatorium with modern methods of treatment.

All these issues were also raised during a videoconference with the head of the Belebeevsky district administration, Azat Sakhabiyev, which was organized directly from the office of Hüseyin Oprukçu. Azat Sakhabiyev also confirmed the readiness of the Belebey residents to establish cooperation with the Eregli region.
