Bashkiria became leader in chemical products export in 2020

At the end of 2020, Bashkiria exported cyclic hydrocarbons, carbonates, monocarboxylic acids, and their derivatives abroad for a total amount of over $ 236 million, taking first place in Russia in terms of exports of these types of products. The region was second in turbo engines and gas turbine supplies abroad ($ 769.6 million). Prime Minister Andrei Nazarov announced this at a governmental meeting on export activities.

In 2020, cyclic hydrocarbons worth $ 79.5 million were supplied to Finland, Turkey, Kazakhstan, carbonates worth $ 90.9 million to Belarus, Kazakhstan, Cyprus, and other monocarboxylic acids and their derivatives for $ 66.3 million to Turkey, Finland, the Netherlands. China, India, and Canada purchased turbo engines and gas turbines in Bashkiria for $ 769.6 million.

"70% of monocarboxylic acids and their derivatives exported from Russia are produced in our republic. Also, our traditional leaders in the total composition of all Russian exports are carbonates - 45.8%, and phenols - 45.3%," Margarita Bolycheva, Chairman of the State Committee for Foreign Economic Relations RB said.

These groups of goods are products of non-resource-based exports, which share in 2020 amounted to 61.6% of the region's total export volume. The total amount of export deliveries from Bashkiria last year amounted to $ 3.1 billion to 122 countries worldwide.
