Strategic Session in Ufa identified priorities for investment activities

In Ufa, the Toratau Congress Hall hosted a Strategic Session on Improving the Investment Climate, which federal experts attended: Vice President of the Center for Strategic Research Fund Natalya Trunova, Head of the Center for Sectoral Economics of the Scientific Research Financial Institute Inna Rykova, Head of the Industrial Relations Department of the Competence Center of the National Technological Initiative at Skoltech Mikhail Akimov, Head of the TASS Conferences Department Larisa Belousova, Professor of the Department of Institutional Economics, Deputy Director of the Institute for Enterprise and Market Analysis, HSE Svetlana Avdasheva.

In 2020, Bashkiria hit the TOP-10 of the national investment climate rating for the first time, rising from 16th to 9th place.

Solutions were prepared at the session in the format of a five-hour workshop, on which basis step-by-step action algorithms would be formed to launch new projects and improve the republic's business climate in the long term. They will form the basis of roadmaps, an instrument of economic growth.

The second result of the event was the discussion of crucial meanings for the development of a communication strategy, which will create conditions for a unified investment agenda for all departments and will also contribute to information accessibility, raising awareness of business tools, support measures, and infrastructure facilities available in the republic.

Nine teams participating in the session developed an authentic modern image of the republic, which will be able to broadcast the uniqueness of the region and investment opportunities.

The Strategic Session's third task was to discuss and finalize the complex investment project "Eurasian Economic Center". In 2020, the Government of Bashkortostan and the "Scientific Research Financial Institute of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation" signed an agreement on a comprehensive investment project, "Eurasian Economic Center" in the republic. The center's main goal is to expand production in the region and promote republican products in new markets.
