Radiy Khabirov urged Bashkiria residents to buy local products

The Head of Bashkortostan urged residents of the republic to buy locally produced products, having marked that it is much more pleasant to see them on the table.

According to him, many residents support the republican manufacturer. The authorities' task is to make the products made in Bashkortostan as recognizable as possible so that they stand out from others on store shelves.

"We have updated the labeling of products and goods, united by the "Product of Bashkortostan" quality mark. Trade chains have already received it. Buying our goods, we invest in the economy and the social sphere of our republic", Radiy Khabirov noted.

In his annual Address to the State Assembly, the Head of the Region set the task by 2024 to bring the republic to the front-line positions in the Volga Federal District from the current sixth place. Thus, it is necessary to streamline the interaction of producers, processors, and trade organizations according to the "from field to market" principle.

In Bashkortostan, the Concept for the Development of the Food and Processing Industry from 2021 to 2026 has been developed. According to the document, assistance in the form of subsidies from the budget will now be provided to all economic entities that will process agricultural raw materials. These can be agricultural enterprises, limited liability companies, agricultural cooperatives, individual entrepreneurs.

The first package of measures will be aimed at subsidizing equipment.

"We have included everything there: meat processing, milk production, processing of honey, herbs, syrups, drinks. The subsidy for the bought and launched equipment will be 40 percent. Second, we are making changes to the proven project on income-generating enterprises. The support will be increased to 14 million rubles; previously it was 3 million rubles", Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Agriculture of Bashkortostan Ilshat Fazrakhmanov said, answering a question of the Bashinform News Agency.

The republic needs to reach the level of 200 billion rubles a year to become one of the Volga Federal District leaders in processing agricultural products. Today this figure is about 97 billion rubles. To do this, at least two thousand entrepreneurs with annual revenue of 50 to 70 million rubles each should start operating.

It is planned to invest 50.8 billion rubles in projects to process agricultural products in 2021-2024. The new production facilities will employ 4.1 thousand people.
