Fish products will be grown and processed in Bashkiria SEZ Alga

On Thursday, the Government of Bashkiria considered new projects in various sectors of the economy at the “Investment Hour” session.

The director of the Bionika company Salim Sharypov presented a project for creating the “BashBalyk” plant in the territory of the special economic zone (SEZ) Alga. It is planned to grow and process fish products of sturgeon and catfish breeds. It means the construction of complexes to cultivate hydrobionts, marketable fish, and the production of various delicacies.

The total cost of the complex is 5.3 billion rubles. The new factories will create 120 jobs.

The Investment Hour participants approved the inclusion of the project in the list of SEZ residents. Besides, investors will receive subsidies for part of the cost of purchasing technological equipment, compound feed, and fish stock through the Ministry of Agriculture RB.

The Prime Minister instructed the Development Corporation RB to support the implementation of the investment initiative.

“The project is very attractive. We have a high demand for fish products in our republic, and we are ready to provide the necessary assistance to make it work,” Andrei Nazarov said.
