Today in his annual Address, the Head of Bashkortostan said that the republic had secured one of Russia's leading granaries. The volume of agricultural products amounted to 177 billion rubles. The export of the agro-industrial complex has grown by half to $ 165 million. Radiy Khabirov thanked all rural residents for their work.

"High yields should not be some one-off records, but our annual indicators. I set the task to increase the grain harvest to 5 million tons by 2024 to our Ministry of Agriculture. For the first time last year, our farmers purchased agricultural equipment for 10 billion rubles. In terms of the number of purchased equipment, we are in the top three regions. Remarkably, we have a growing movement of proactive private traders who are able to revive the rural economy. During the pandemic, we did not have a shortage of any product.

Nevertheless, it is necessary to adjust the interaction of producers, processors, and trade organizations on the "from field to market" principle. We started this process being the sixth in the Volga region in terms of processing volumes. I set a task for Bashkortostan to take second place by 2024. We will solve it, strengthen our food security," Radiy Khabirov said.
