Bashkiria enterprises did not curtail their investment programs despite pandemic

Despite the coronavirus pandemic and related restrictions, the economy of Bashkortostan was able to finish 2020 with an almost 100% industrial production index. This was facilitated by timely anti-crisis measures, support for the processing industries, and new products' release. In the National Investment Rating, Bashkortostan is among the best regions, having risen from 16th to ninth place in the country over the year, the Head of the Republic said during his annual Address announcement.

Despite the difficult conditions, the enterprises of Bashkortostan did not curtail their investment programs.

UMPO continued to modernize its aviation production facilities. A hydrocracking unit and an aromatic hydrocarbon production unit are being reconstructed at the Bashneft refinery complex. A hydrogen unit has been launched at Gazprom-neftekhim-Salavat, and a catalytic cracking complex will be commissioned in the near future. Salavat Catalyst Plant started the production of powdered silica gel.

The mining industry does not reduce investment turnover. The volume of output in mechanical engineering increased by one third.

74 residents of five single-industry towns – priority development areas - have already invested 4 billion rubles. The main result is 3,000 new jobs.

"Due to Rostec, the Kumertau Aviation Enterprise observes growth in orders. The production facilities of the Belebeyevsky plant "Avtonormal" are fully loaded. Shipments of Sterlitamak R&D Stankostroenie have increased significantly," Radiy Khabirov said.

During the year, the “Uralskiy Les” enterprise invested more than a billion rubles in the Ufa plywood and plywood-board factories, which had been in decline for a long time. Jobs were retained, and the total revenue of these enterprises for the past year exceeded 2 billion rubles.

The Mazhit Gafuri poultry complex, which had been idle for about three years, is now re-loaded at full capacity thanks to a new investor.

In Bashkortostan, assistance was also rendered to more than 50 thousand entrepreneurs. The most popular property and financial support mechanisms, which have proven their effectiveness, will be extended for business.
