Grain production increased by 18.4% in Bashkiria

Enterprises of the agro-industrial complex of Bashkiria produced grain and leguminous crops by 18.4% more than in 2019. The Bashkortostan Statistics Agency has calculated the results of harvesting in farms of different categories.
The bulk of grain (65.5%), sugar beet (81%), and sunflower (67.7%) is grown by large enterprises.
Households produced most part of the harvest of potatoes (94.7%) and vegetables (66.2%).
Farms collected 34.5% of the total harvest of grain, sunflower - 32.3%, sugar beet - 19.0%, vegetables - 11.5%.
Winter crops for grain in agricultural organizations were sown on an area of ​​280.2 thousand hectares for the harvest of 2021 (106.4% of the level of sowing for the harvest of 2020). Winter tillage was plowed on an area of ​​552 thousand hectares - 108.6% by 2019.
In 2020, 4 million 095 thousand tons of grain crops were harvested in their original weight, which is 18.4% more than in 2019. The maximum harvest of grain crops over the past 20 years was collected in 2008 - 5 million 6 thousand tons.
The yield of other types of crops has decreased, mainly due to a reduction in acreage. Thus, the production of sunflower by 2019 amounted to 87.9%, sugar beet - 71.6%, potatoes - 83.2%, vegetables - 97.9%.
