Number of economically active population of Bashkiria is announced

The number of the labor force in Bashkiria aged 15 years and over in August - October 2020 decreased to 1.932 million people, according to the statistics of the republic, based on sample survey data.

Out of 1.932 million people of the region's economically active population, more than 1.805 million people are employed in the economy, more than 127 thousand are registered as unemployed.

In Russia as a whole, the workforce is now about 75.190 million people, of which almost 14.754 million are in the Volga Federal District.

The general unemployment rate in Bashkiria reached 6.6% in August - October this year.

For comparison: the average unemployment rate in the country is 6.3%, in the Volga Federal District - 5.6%, Bashkortostan Statistics Agency reported.
