Supervisory Board of Alga special economic zone began working in Bashkiria

On December 24, the Supervisory Board of the Alga Special Economic Zone (SEZ) meeting took place. The Chairman of the Council was the head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov.
The implementation of investment projects proposed by the current SEZ residents will attract about 10 billion rubles and create more than 1.4 thousand jobs, Ilshat Tazhitdinov, First Deputy Prime Minister - Government Chief Of Staff said. He noted that several investors had already started construction and installation work; some projects are undergoing public discussions.
According to Ilshat Tazhitdinov, the territorial order for 2020-2022 included constructing access roads to the SEZ with a total length of more than seven kilometers. The republic government is considering options for constructing railway lines, including Russian Railways' involvement as a concessionaire. Construction and installation work on the supply of engineering networks, electricity and gas supply will begin in 2021.
In 2021-2022, the SEZ should perform the following tasks: attracting new investors, completing the project for planning and surveying the territory, bringing communications to each site of the SEZ, further developing infrastructure, as well as designing and building an administrative building and customs service facilities, Ilshat Tazhitdinov added.
Radiy Khabirov marked that a significant part of the SEZ territory is already on a lease or reserved for potential investors and instructed to work out options for expanding the Alga area.
It is reported that the special economic zone will locate enterprises for sewing modern work overalls (industrial association "Arkada") and sportswear under the ZASPORT brand, production of materials for road and municipal services (road marking plant "Azimut"), LED equipment ("ZUR" LLC), production of a cetane-enhancing additive for diesel fuel ("M-Sintez" LLC), processing of hydrocarbon gases into aromatic hydrocarbons (DoGa financial group).
According to Aleksey Balyanov, General Director of M-Sintez LLC, the plant for producing a cetane-enhancing additive will become the second enterprise of its kind in Russia. He asked for assistance to speed up the passage of environmental assessments.
Radiy Khabirov instructed the Government of Bashkortostan to assist the company in observing compliance with environmental legislation.
