Total volume food market is estimated at 460 billion rubles in Bashkiria

The total volume of the food market in Bashkortostan is estimated at 460 billion rubles. The commodity mass of the consumer market, including the non-food group, is over 930 billion rubles. More than 25 thousand retail outlets are involved in the sale of products, of which 1,400 are stores of federal retail chains, 900 facilities are stores of regional retail chains, and about 22.7 thousand facilities are small retail stores within walking distance.
These figures were announced by the Minister of Trade and Services Alexey Gusev at the meeting of the Government Presidium.
One of the issues on the agenda was the consideration of the cooperation development concept in the republic for the period up to 2024. Prime Minister of the Government Andrei Nazarov noted that work on the development of cooperation in the region was of great importance.
In recent years, within the framework of income-generating programs, cooperatives' production capacities have been increased. It is necessary to promote cooperation and bring a single product to the chains for mass consumption to sell the produced volume of goods. This is possible through the cooperation of small producers.
Together with the Ministry of Agriculture of Bashkortostan, the Ministry of Trade and Services has already digitized a road map of food products needs. From those positions of the product matrix that can be produced in the republic, reducing logistics costs, today, according to conservative estimates, the sales market is being substituted by external manufacturers for 150 billion rubles.
Comparing the republic's possibilities and resource base for increasing the inflow of investments into the region's economy, experts positively assess the initiative to form an Agro-Industrial Cluster, which will allow accumulating new income-generating projects through cooperation.
