More than 4 billion rubles invested in Ufa power grid complex reconstruction with Smart Grid

Since 2013, power engineers have invested more than 4 billion rubles in reconstructing the Ufa power grid complex using Smart Grid elements. 75 thousand electricity metering devices, an automated dispatch control system for grids were installed, and 100 km of cable lines were laid as part of smart grids creation at 29 power substations, 424 distribution points, and transformer substations.

During his visit to the control center of the Ufa city electric grids of Bashkirenergo LLC, the Head of Bashkortostan was told about this by the chairman of the board - general director of JSC BPGC Sergey Gurin.

All this made it possible to significantly optimize the network structure, ensure full monitoring of its condition, and reduce commercial losses of electricity by up to 80 percent. The most important thing is that the interruption in the power supply to consumers has been reduced from two or three hours to several minutes in case of emergencies.

“It is excellent that you ensure the functioning of the energy system of Ufa and the entire republic so smoothly, efficiently, and very competently,” Radiy Khabirov said.
