Three tourist and six transport cable cars will be built in Ufa by its 450th anniversary

In Ufa, for the 450th anniversary of the city, 3 tourist and 6 transport cable cars will be built, the Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkiria Andrei Nazarov said during an offsite working meeting. It was decided that the lines will be of two types - tourist and transport. The funiculars will move from the Belaya River embankment in three directions: to the Monument to Salavat Yulaev, to Lenin Street's alignment, to the Salavat Yulaev Public Garden.

The project's development will be carried out by the Swiss company Bartolet Maschinenbau AG, which previously equipped the cable car in Vorobyovy Gory in Moscow. In two years, it carried over 3 million passengers. Over the entire period of its existence, the company has implemented more than 1.5 thousand complex projects.

The 450th anniversary of Ufa will be celebrated in 2024. On November 30, the Russian president signed a decree giving a federal status to this event. "This means that we will get a unique chance to transform Ufa, including through support from the federal center, to modernize the city, breathe new life into it and make it one of the pillars in the country," the Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, commented on it then.
