Knitwear factory for 300 jobs will appear in Bashkiria

As part of the International Business Week 2020 forum, an agreement was signed between the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan and BS LLC, according to which an investment project for constructing a knitwear factory for 300 jobs will be implemented in the region.

"We are glad to have partners who localize production in our region. We are ready to continue supporting the light industry in Bashkortostan, especially since we have developed a program for this industry's development. BS LLC can join it, which will be useful for the region and beneficial for the company," said Prime Minister Andrei Nazarov during the signing of the agreement.

Director of BS LLC Timur Shavaleev noted that the republic's government provides assistance and creates all conditions for investors in the region. The site for the construction of the new factory is currently being determined. It is supposed to locate it in the "Alga" special economic zone or in the territory of the Trans-Urals.

BS LLC is considering the possibility of launching the workwear production, as it is in high demand in the republic and neighboring industrial regions.

The "Alga" special economic zone is located on four separate sites of the Republic of Bashkortostan with a total area of 468 hectares, which allows placing enterprises by cluster type, grouping them by industry, by the similarity of technologies and raw materials base.

As a support measure, residents are given the opportunity to apply accelerated depreciation and a reduction coefficient for land lease. Also, the "Alga" SEZ's special status provides all residents with tax benefits and customs preferences, which are guaranteed at the state level.
