Radiy Khabirov: foreign economic activity is one of Bashkiria's main points of growth

One of the main points of growth for Bashkortostan is a foreign economic activity, Radiy Khabirov said during a press approach on the sidelines of the International Business Week 2020. According to him, the republic's products, primarily petrochemicals, were actively bought by foreign countries. However, the situation changes, and the republic wants to sell not only petrochemicals but also the products of mechanical engineering, agriculture, etc. Therefore, representative offices were opened in Vienna, Istanbul. Now it is planned to open one in Kazakhstan. Today's forum is also an element of promoting the republic, our products, and an element of our foreign economic policy, he thinks.

The Head of the Region believes that today there is a competition for investors between the regions. Today, with equal benefits, tax, organizational, administrative, and other privileges, management teams' activity, and competence are required to attract business.

"Our team is highly motivated. It is very cool when your actions then find concrete implementation in some tangible things. We finished last year with a plus of 13 percent of investments. This year we created new support institutions, for example, a special economic zone. Despite the crisis, we have gained 4.5 percent of investments in nine months. Everything that we do, then, ultimately, results in money, jobs, taxes, etc. Therefore, next year we will continue our work. We will do it probably, with more energy, with a greater creative approach, and with the hope that everything will be fine", said Radiy Khabirov, answering journalists' questions.
