Bashkiria Agriculture Ex-Minister plans investment project for 3 billion rubles

The Head of Bashkiria approved an investment project for animal husbandry of one of the region's largest agricultural holdings at the "Investment Hour" session. Kalinin Agricultural Holding produces 16 thousand tons of milk, 130 tons of beef and is one of the top ten leaders in Bashkortostan for growing grain crops. The company is based in the Sterlitamaksky district. The company begins constructing feedlots and calf houses in the neighboring Bizhbulyaksky and Ermekeyevsky districts. The volume of investments is almost 3 billion rubles.
The investor requests the project's inclusion in the priority list, which will allow the agricultural holding to receive subsidies from the federal budget to purchase domestic agricultural machinery and pedigree breeds of cattle under leasing programs.
"You are a strong company with a rich portfolio of competencies. The republic is ready to support you in terms of purchasing equipment and livestock from abroad. You can think about further development," said the Head of the Republic Radiy Khabirov.
Nikolay Kovalenko, director of the Kalinin Agricultural Holding, worked as the Minister of Agriculture of Bashkortostan in 2012-2016. He took this post at the age of 36, being then one of the youngest ministers. Since 2007 he has been working as First Deputy Minister.
